Hello friends and family. We are inching up on three years. While we are in still in August, there have been a few mornings in the last weeks where my body senses that subtle change of seasons beginning. The leaves are already turning colors and many of them falling. This is a tough time of year because the body keeps the score and it knows. Here we go again, the third time of approaching, anticipating, and passing October 8.

This is a short blog post today to let you know, I am going to start writing again. I quit writing at the one year mark and I have a lot to say about the last two years.

It doesn’t get easier, it gets different. My ability to cope has grown, but the grief is still there. My friend, the shadow. Shadow casting.
